A Shadow Figure in the Sea at Margate


A calm sea, a sunny day and something about the light on a visit to Margate. Was this another of Antony Gormley's figures in the sea? It's a fisherman wading out in the shallow tide. It's not surprising that Turner chose Margate to do his painting. There is something about the light and on this occasion it was even more marked.
