Tobermory, the Well of Mary

Tobermory grew up around an ancient well dedicated to Mary. Is this another example of a place where there was a vision of the White Lady or a Well Maiden as in Arthurian Legend? The well at the top of the hill is still marked but with no water. Perhaps the spring is still running underground. There was a sense of a presence there.
