The first view of the harbour reminded me of the harbour in Newhaven, Edinburgh where my mother grew up. The lighthouse there was a favourite place for her to play with her school friend. In Margate the harbour is lined with cafes and visitors. It was a treat to see the sea again on a bright sunny day.
