The State of London Debate

I attended the State of London Debate for a second year. The atmosphere felt warmer than the previous time. Sadiq and his deputies gave the impression of getting on with whatever job was in hand. The Grenfell Tower fire and the terror attacks pervaded the discussion. My question about the kind of space being created by high rise buildings in London didn't come up, but one of my prime concerns was addressed. Basically, if it's not possible to meet the standards of safety set out for tower blocks, no more tower blocks. Humans beings lose their connection to the earth above about 6 or 7 storeys. Above that people start to become unhealthy. There's also some ideas about closing off areas of streets to cut pollution. Done properly, this can enhance the quality of life for children. Once again they weren't mentioned. But times are changing.
