I went back to see the Emma Hamilton exhibition at the Royal Maritime Museum. The first time was a private view for members and it was very crowded. Today it was quiet, so I could see more. It's a pity that she isn't recognised for her real abilities. A combination of Nelson's posthumous rise to national hero and Victorian sensibilities it seems. As I left, I saw the Moon and Venus bright in the fading evening sky. Beautiful. So peaceful.
